I painted this from sketches and photos of a patch of wild daisies growing next to a field in Kent. The way the breeze moved the flower stems appealed to me as it gave a personality to each ‘face’. Painting flowers can be magical, as they have a way of coming to life in a spontaneous way as you paint them. I painted this ‘large’ canvas after having painted a much smaller acrylic on watercolour of the same subject.
