Based on the view from a friend’s holiday cottage in Polperro, this is an experiment in acrylic and acrylic inks. The light was subdued and I was attracted to the intimacy that evening light gives to this enclosed harbour scene. The use of limited colours enhances the mood and the simplified, stylised marks compliment the rustic character and charm of the buildings in the landscape.
