Description
Light & Shade – 2hr painting workshop at Bletchingley Community Centre – 2pm-4pm Wednesday 26th February.
A two hour acrylic painting mini-workshop where we’ll use photographic references (provided) to create an expressive landscape painting. We’ll cover basic colour theory and composition. We’ll work fairly fast but no-one will be left behind. I’ll show you how to achieve a convincing impression of a scene with depth and harmonious colours without getting bogged down in detail.
Bring your own materials if you have them, but basic equipment can be provided by arrangement. Once you’ve booked, a list of recommended colours, brushes and other equipment will be sent out.
Here are the basic equipment requirements:
kitchen roll, table covering (newspaper, old sheets), water pots (old pet-food or yoghurt containers work well), a drawing board and masking tape.
Your acrylic paints and brushes, palette knives or card if you have them.
Acrylic paper or primed board.
Mixing palette or similar (Grease-proof baking sheets work OK).
Please fill in the following registration form. This will help me find out a bit more about you and your ‘art journey’. Thank you.
All workshop dates can be seen here.
“Joe’s classes are informative, exciting and always good fun. I have learnt so much and my paintings have become far more confident.
Cannot recommend this artist enough.”
