Looking West – Talland Bay

This view is from one of the most uplifting cliff walks in UK, the South West Coastal Path. As you round the headland into Talland Bay, the sweep of the bay is breathtaking. I am inspired by the way a landscape can swallow you up, and I tried to avoid too much in the way of a focal point here, preferring to allow the eye to wander. I feel this gives a great sense of space! I am also drawn to the warmth that the land exudes as it meets the cool sea. I chose a combination of vibrant pinks and mellow yellows to compliment the blues and greys of the sea and sky.
